Excerpt from the book:

“Don’t let the thought of starting all over again make you depressed. Understand that most successful people end up chasing the same dream multiple times before it ever comes to fruition. Accept that what seemed like a disaster was really just a temporary hardship that ever hustler goes through. You’re no better or worse than any of them.” – Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson

Failure is a tough pill to swallow, but it may be the secret sauce to success. There can be no success without failure.

We must not shy away from it, but embrace is wholly.

My thoughts:

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is a phenom in his own right. He has proven that he is versatile, adaptable, and fearless.

His story is from his childhood, to his music career, and now business highlights critical details at every turn.

Some takeaways from his journey:

  • Grow or die. You must always strive to be better.
  • Create your own success, nothing should be handed to you.
  • Execution is what matters, talk is cheap.
  • Be fearless. It takes time, but it can be learned.
  • You need a team, you can not navigate through this world by yourself.

This book was an easy read, packed with valuable gems. Take the time to read through each chapter and let it sit and marinate. Then go and apply them.

My version is all marked up and highlighted and I skim through chapters every now and then.

Lastly, I will leave you with this.

Nothing beats hard work and hustle. No one owes you anything. The world ain’t fair. You get what you put in.

Practical life application:

Evaluate your work ethic. Are there things that you need to change? Start here. A strong work ethic is a common trait of all successful people.

Let that sink in.
